Felt for the ironer

Felt with superior quality

Felt for ironers are specific coverings that have a big impact on the finish (ironing) of the linen.

There are 2 types of felt for ironers, mono turn felt and mult turn felt; this depends on the manufacturer of the ironer.
These come in different weights and widths. And are made of 100% Polyester Fiber, 100% Aramid Fiber of 50% / 50% Polyester / Aramid. Other more specialized fibers can also be used
(such as PTFE or PPS for their chemical resistance).

Our needle felt range, with its high air permeability and extra strong support fabric, helps to increase the resistance to hydrolysis and goes on all types of ironers.
The same quality level applies to our entire range.

Thick felt

or also called monoturn felt in Polyester, Polyester / Aramid or Chemguard.
This type is mounted on the ironer in various ways

• Sewing with steel wire and notched (classic way)
• Sewing with steel wire without notches (sewn blind)
• Sewing with aramid cord
• Bisauticated (cut diagonally)

consists of a working side or top layer, support fabric and a bottom layer.

• Polyester = Polyester bottom layer, extra strong support fabric and Polyester working side
• Polyester / Aramid = Polyester bottom layer, extra strong support fabric and Aramid working side
• Chemguard = Acrylic bottom layer, extra strong support fabric and Aramid working side

Wrap felt

or also called multiturn felt in Polyester, Polyester / Aramid, Aramid, Chemguard or Teflex.
In contrast to the thick felt, this type is only laid in 2 ways
• with spring tape springs rolled up in one piece, 2 layers in total
• with spring pad springs rolled in 2 pieces, 2 layers in total

consists of a working side or top layer, support fabric and a bottom layer.
• Polyester = Polyester bottom layer, extra strong support fabric and Polyester working side
• Polyester / Aramid = Polyester bottom layer, extra strong support fabric and Aramid working side
• Aramid = Aramid bottom layer, extra strong support fabric and Aramid work side
• Chemguard = PPS bottom layer, extra strong support fabric and Aramid work side
• Teflex = Aramid bottom layer, extra strong support fabric and PTFE working side
