MONO ironer felts are heavy felts installed as one complete felt layer around the ironer roll. This fundamentally differs from multiturn ironer felts, where the required padding is built up using multiple turns around the roll.
Due to their high weight and thickness, one MONO felt forms the complete felt padding around the ironer roll.
Depending on the ironer and configuration, the ends are joined using a sewn seam or a prepared bevelled overlap of approximately 10–12 cm.
Solana supplies MONO ironer felts for professional and industrial laundries in polyester as well as versions with an Aramid working surface for applications exposed to higher thermal loads.
The CLASSIC MONO range is designed for professional ironing applications requiring a heavy and robust polyester felt construction.
CLASSIC MONO 4000 is a heavy 100% polyester ironer felt with a weight of 4000 g/m².
With a thickness of approximately 18 mm, this quality provides a robust padding construction for professional industrial flatwork ironers.
CLASSIC MONO 4000 – Heavy-duty polyester performance for industrial ironers.
The THERMO MONO range is designed for professional ironing applications requiring increased thermal resistance, outstanding performance and long service life.
The Aramid working surface is positioned on the side exposed to thermal stress during the ironing process. These qualities are therefore particularly suitable for intensively used ironers and applications with higher operating temperatures.
Different felt weights and thicknesses allow the padding construction to be matched to the ironer type and original machine configuration.
THERMO MONO 3100 combines a heavy MONO felt construction with an Aramid working surface.
With a weight of 3100 g/m² and a thickness of approximately 15 mm, this quality is designed for professional ironing applications where thermal resistance and long service life are important.
THERMO MONO 3100 – Aramid performance for long and reliable service life.
THERMO MONO HD 4000 is the heaviest quality within our THERMO MONO range.
This Heavy Duty version combines an Aramid working surface with a weight of 4000 g/m² and a thickness of approximately 18 mm.
Its robust felt construction is designed for intensively used industrial ironers and demanding applications where thermal load and durability are key requirements.
THERMO MONO HD 4000 – Heavy-duty Aramid performance for demanding ironers.
The required felt construction primarily depends on the design and original configuration of the flatwork ironer.
With a multiturn ironer felt, the required padding is built up using several turns around the ironer roll.
A MONO ironer felt, on the other hand, forms the complete padding in one heavy felt layer.
When replacing the felt, it is therefore important to respect the original machine configuration or first determine which felt construction is suitable for the ironer.
Selecting the correct MONO felt depends on several factors:
Send us your ironer specifications and, if possible, information or photographs of the existing felt construction and joint. We will help you determine the appropriate MONO quality and configuration.
