MONO ironer felts are heavy ironer felts installed as one complete thick felt around the ironer roll. Unlike multiturn ironer felts, which are installed in multiple turns, one MONO felt forms the complete felt padding around the roll. This type of ironer felt is also known as a monoturn felt or one-turn ironer padding.
Depending on the ironer type and configuration, the felt ends are joined with a sewn joint or a bevelled overlap of approximately 10–12 cm.

The THERMO MONO range consists of heavy MONO ironer felts with a Meta-Aramid working surface for ironers where high thermal resistance and long service life are important.
The Meta-Aramid working surface is positioned on the side exposed to the highest thermal load during the ironing process. These qualities are therefore particularly suitable for intensively used ironers and higher operating temperatures.
Different weights and thicknesses allow the padding construction to be matched to the ironer type and original machine configuration.

The robust padding construction is designed for intensively used industrial flatwork ironers and demanding operating conditions where high temperatures and heavy production loads place high demands on the ironer felt.

The required felt construction is primarily determined by the design and original configuration of the ironer.
With a multiturn ironer felt, the required padding build-up is created by installing the felt in multiple turns around the ironer roll. A MONO ironer felt, by contrast, uses one heavy monoturn felt to form the complete felt padding around the roll.
When replacing the felt, it is therefore important to respect the original padding construction or to verify in advance which configuration is suitable for the specific ironer.
