In many industrial laundries there are dangerous hot metal surfaces, like steam pipes, steam traps and vacuum chimney above the flatwork ironer. Often, these are not or unsufficient insulated. Besides a significant energy loss, they can create hazardous situations for technicians and employees.
According to ISO-1372 (the standard related to Ergonomics of the physical environment), a metal surfact should not exceed 73°C when there is a maximum contact time of 1 second. For longer contact times, this temperature has to be even lower. Actually, burns can already occur from 40°C.
We provide practical solutions for steam pipes of i.e. ironers, presses, tumble dryers,...
We produce heat resistant covers for pipes, tubes and hoses. They act like a pipe insulation and cover the hazardous surfaces. Our covers are flexible and provided with zipper for easy application or removal.
