On chest-heated flatwork ironers, the felt forms the outer textile layer of the ironer padding and helps ensure optimum contact between the linen and the heated ironer chest.
Solana supplies different types of ironer felts for professional and industrial laundries. Depending on the ironer type, operating temperature, roll diameter and original machine configuration, a distinction is made between multiturn ironer felts and heavy MONO ironer felts.
Our range includes ironer felts in polyester, Meta-Aramid and combinations with PTFE, suitable for standard applications as well as ironers operating at elevated temperatures.

Multiturn ironer felts are relatively thin felts installed in multiple turns around the ironer roll.
By selecting the correct material, weight and thickness, the felt padding can be matched to the ironer design, operating temperature and specific machine requirements.
Within our range of multiturn ironer felts you will find:
MONO ironer felts are heavy ironer felts consisting of one thick felt layer installed around the ironer roll. This type of ironer felt is also known as a monoturn felt or one-turn ironer padding. Unlike multiturn ironer felts, it is not installed in multiple turns.
Depending on the machine configuration, the felt is finished with a sewn joint or a prepared bevelled overlap.
Our range includes polyester MONO ironer felts as well as versions with a Meta-Aramid working surface for thermally demanding applications.
