This extra-strong 100% polyester ironer guide tape is designed for professional and industrial flatwork ironers where long service life and high mechanical strength are important. The tape is 13 mm wide, heat resistant up to 180 °C and supplied on 400 metre spools.
Compared with our thinner polyester guide tape, this version has a thicker and more robust construction. This makes the tape stronger, more resistant to wear and particularly suitable for multi-roll ironers, where the guide tape is subjected to greater mechanical stress. Its robust construction also provides a longer service life on single-roll ironers.
The choice between the two polyester qualities mainly depends on the laundry’s priorities. For customers looking for long service life and high wear resistance, this extra-strong version is the preferred choice. Where minimal marking on the linen is more important, our thinner polyester ironer guide tape may be the better option.
When an ironer operates close to the maximum working temperature of this polyester tape, higher operating speeds can generate additional heat through increased friction. Under these conditions, an Aramid-reinforced guide tape can provide greater temperature reserve, such as Supertape-13 or, for higher temperatures and heavier loads, Supertape-2000.
The guide tape can be both tied and ultrasonically welded. A welded joint creates a flat connection without a knot and helps reduce marking on the linen. For a quick and neat joint, our ultrasonic welder for ironer guide tape can be used.
